Our Experience

We are firm believers in focusing on strengths and our particular strengths are in being experts in the analysis of websites, explaining clearly how they need to be changed in order to encourage more visitors to get in contact, and then how to actively market each website online.

Our experience in this area is so huge that we guarantee that within a couple of minutes of anyone referring us to their website, we'll be able to highlight the key issues that are stopping that website from gaining more business.

Our origins are in the dotcom boom years at the turn of the century, a time in which we learnt so much about the mistakes all around us, that we decided to create a business that helped companies to understand how their websites needed to change. This evolved into promoting client websites via pay per click (PPC) advertising in Google, Yahoo, and other systems.

The Custwin business is now firmly based on a regular client base who, having initially used our services, are utilising our expertise on a constantly rolling basis. These clients gain a lot of business from our expertise and are therefore happy to continue using our services. There are so many website development companies or SEO experts out there who are happy to take a fee for a project and then they disappear when the going gets tough. Custwin aren't interested in creating a PPC campaign or website and then disappearing. Our desire is to continue working with clients, and for those clients to refer us onto new potential clients, which is how we gain most of our new business.

We've highlighted that we focus on our strengths and so it's also worth pointing out what we DON'T do. . .

Search engine marketing takes many forms but the primary two forms are either being listed in the paid search (for example, the 'Sponsored Links' in Google - also known as pay per click - PPC) or being listed in the natural search results (for example, the left-hand side of Google search results). Although you'd think the two are very similar, they actually work in very different ways. We know a fair bit about what's required to gain natural search engine results positioning but we don't profess to be experts - it's an extremely detailed area, that often has unpredictable and unstable results and so we focus instead on PPC advertising, and immerse ourselves totally in that subject. We have many contacts that provide services to gain visibility in the natural search results and once our clients are gaining lots of business from PPC, we would normally make such recommendations, but for the majority of companies, the most cost-effective way to quickly gain more business is via PPC.

The other area that we DON'T get involved in is the physical building of websites. Yes, we have a website development service but our involvement is primarily in the strategy of what the website needs to achieve. We aren't good at, or enjoy physically building websites, but we do very much enjoy creating the strategy and ensuring that the final website is as it should be. This is why we work with numerous website development and design companies, most of who originally contacted us for strategic input. Working with those experts in their field allows them to be good at their specialism and Custwin to be good at the strategic aspects of a website. The final results speak for themselves. Having noted all this, website development clients do tend to treat us as being the primary point of contact on website development projects because they know that we're guaranteeing the strategy is right and that the websites will be successful when marketed.
